Municipality of Kassandra
Kassandra is a blessed place, a piece of Halkidiki, an earthly paradise. The golden sandy beaches, its picturesque bays, its aristocratic mansions, ornate hand-woven, the exceptional local cuisine and wine, the ancient legends and folk songs, the fairs and festivals make up the 2500 years history. Today Municipality of Kassandra comprises its limits 14 Districts: Kassandrias (seat of the Municipality), Nea Fokea, Afitos, Kallithea, Kryopigi, Kassandrino, Fourka, Kalandra, Hanioti, Agia Paraskevi, Nea Skioni, Paliouri, Pefkohori and Polychrono many settlements, among them Siviri, where Kassandra’s Festival is the heart of Kassandras summer.
Settlement of Agia Paraskevi Spa
Five kilometers south of Agia Paraskevi, on the seafront, is the settlement “Loutra” consisting mainly of holiday homes, restaurants, coffee-bar, apartments and hotels. Residents who reside permanently in “Loutra” are mainly engaged in fishing, beekeeping, cultivation of olives and tourism. The settlement was named after the hot springs famous for their rare therapeutic properties. The sand, the rocks, the pines and the sea dominate everywhere and compose a unique image. From the bowels of the earth gush thermal waters for centuries, relieve human suffering. Rare healing properties and unique composition of elements of warm water comes out from the springs. The austere beauty of the landscape, the labyrinthine caves in the Rocky Mountains, the pine trees touches the sea side, composing an unmatched harmony of nature.
